What are content types?

Your marketing site has many different kinds of content. For example: blog, documentation and knowledge base. These are called Content Types, you can also think of them as folders in your static site generator. Like: src/posts or src/documentation.

These are often obvious like blogposts or documentation articles (like this one), but could also be more marketing-focussed, like the features page on the Spinal marketing site.

Content types can contain many hundreds of content items. All shoved into one folder, or in many subfolders, eg. grouped by year.
